Grammy and WC Handy winning trumpet player and arranger, Darrell Leonard, brings his fourteen piece Line Up of studio aces playing a mix of danceable instrumental horn band blues and original music. Leonard has arranged and played for among others, Taj Mahal,
BB King, Leon Russell, Bonnie Raitt, Elton John, and The Rolling Stones.
Rather than playing from the regular big band canon, the Line Up, who's sound is modeled after the big blues orchestras of BB King and Bobby Bland, play songs more in the vein of the Memphis Horns, the Crusaders, New Orleans street bands, Kansas City Swing, Texas Shuffle bands, and the Sidewinders.
