Live Music at Bogies | Midnight Train

Midnight Train | Friday | June 5 | 5:30pm

Midnight Train  is not your typical band you would expect to see in a club setting. These musicians have played with or recorded on some of the most prolific recordings of our lifetime.
Gia Ciambotti smokey vocals are like a soulful breath of fresh air.  She joined Bruce Springsteen as a backing vocalist for his Bruce Springsteen and the "Other Band" Tour. Since then she has worked as a session singer for artists such as Lucinda Williams, Natalie Cole, Chicago and just finished a tour in 2011 with Joe Walsh.
Gary Mallaber is one of the most  sought after drummers in music today. He is probably best known as drummer/percussion/backup singer, and co-composer for The Steve Miller Band.
Gary  was also the main studio drummer for Eddie Money for most of his earlier recordings and has played on many Bruce Springsteen and Van Morrison solo albums.  He has played on hit singles by Miller, Morrison, Springsteen, Peter Frampton, Poco, Paul Williams, and Kermit the Frog. Some of the many other artists Mallaber has recorded with include Joan Armatrading, The Beach Boys, David Cassidy, Bonnie Raitt, Tom Rush, Bob Seger, Joe Brucato, Barbra Streisand, Warren Zevon, Hughes/Thrall and Gerard McMahon. Since March 7, 2009, Gary has been standing in as temporary drummer for Dave Mason during his 2009 Tour.
Bassist Lothar Struff  started touring with Paul Williams  (I don't have enough room here to list all his hits so you'll have to visit his website) in 1979 and has been with him ever since . He says working with Paul has been and still is a pleasure. They recently performed this summer in Las Vegas to sellout crowds. In 1989 Lothar  was offered the position as music coordinator of "The Bold and the Beautiful" which he still does today. Lothar also attended Berklee School of Music.
Paul Manoogian is the lead guitarist and has been playing guitar since he was 6 years old. Paul was a member of The Archies whose hit "Sugar Sugar" was the #1 single of 1969 selling more than 9,000,000 copies. They knocked The Beatles from the #1 slot when "Sugar Sugar" hit the airwaves. He has taught music and has recorded or played with some of the most sought after musicians from Motown, such as Bob Babbitt, Tony Newton and Alphonse Mouzon.
