Jerry Salas has been lead singer for the group El Chicano sense 1973 when his first album on MCA Records resulted in the hit single "Tell Her She's Lovely", to date MCA has released eleven El Chicano albums eight of which Jerry sang lead on. Some of groups Jerry has toured with include The Jacksons, ZZ Top, Santana, Earth Wind & Fire, ELO, Marvin Gaye, Temptations, WAR. Through out the seventies He appeared on every major TV show Midnight Special twice, American Bandstand NBC specials of the week . Jerry first met Gino Vannelli when Gino came to see El Chicano at the Whiskey in Hollywood, "he wanted to hire our conga player to do his Storm At Sunup album"..Jerry has always admired Gino's music & wanted to perform it hence "Jerry Sings Gino" show. "More Than 4 Chords" are Bob Luna, Larry Antonino, Ronnie Ciago & Shea Welsh with far too many credits to list!
